It all begins with an idea.

Niall McSharry is the Head Chef and Founder behind The Gardener´s Kitchen.

Niall has over 15 years’ experience working in the restaurant industry.

 Starting his career at Rathmullan House, Donegal,  he learned the core values of the trade and was inspired by the  fresh vegetables from the kitchen garden and the locally sourced fish & game. This, coupled with the family friendly service, has stayed with him throughout his career.

Niall subsequently worked at the River Café, London, which he says is an experience which showed him how to “cook” from breaking down lamb legs to filleting wild seabass and making fresh pasta. The techniques he learned then are still inspiring his cooking 10 years later.

Combining a love of travel with a love of cooking, his career subsequently took him to work on private yachts across the globe. Taking him completely out of his comfort zone, he learned a variety of new dishes and techniques within an entirely new environment.

The idea of starting his own business has always been an ambition of his.

The Gardener´s Kitchen is the realization of that ambition, inspired by a  varied career working with the best of ingredients to provide the highest quality experiences for customers and guests no matter what the occasion.
